We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our clients team in Surrey, British Columbia. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in managing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance requirements. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

• Support with year end and manage month-end closing tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and continuity schedules.

• Oversee the fixed asset ledger, including asset tracking, depreciation, and reporting.

• Prepare and file sales tax remittances for Canadian entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Conduct inventory cost analysis, investigating variances and reviewing costing, labour, and overhead expenses.

• Assist in organizing and coordinating physical inventory counts to maintain accurate records.

• Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed.

• Collaborate with the team to address intercompany transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
