Are you a dynamic nonprofit leader with proven fund development and financial acumen? Our client, a notable NPO dedicated to serving the Downtown Eastside Vancouver community, is seeking an interim Director of Development. This is a contract position (3-6 months) through Robert Half, offering a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact at a pivotal time. This position will report into the Senior Leadership team.

- Lead all strategic fund development activities, including stewardship of individual and monthly donors, overseeing agreements, and building relationships with key supporters.
- Direct financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance and transparent reporting for funding agreements.
- Take charge of donor stewardship, maximizing engagement and retention of major and monthly donors.
- Oversee grant writing (with support from current grant writer) and manage reporting for four active funding agreements.
- Support and mentor a small team of 3.
- Provide leadership through substantial organizational change (including finance team transition) and help re-establish trust and stability.
- Assess and present key performance metrics, such as meals served and other impact measures.
