Individuals work flexible assignments to support the operational needs of schools in various locations throughout our division. These individuals ensure the students "come first" and have the support they need to create a positive, friendly and safe learning environment. Working collaboratively as a team member, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Other duties as outlined on our website in Job Description - Administrative Assistant The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent training/experience with strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates must have patience and compassion and enjoy working with children to create a fun, positive, safe learning environment. Interviews will be conducted upon application. Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
