Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Electrical Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, particularly in C/C++, and a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles. This role involves significant collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software for embedded systems using C/C++.
- Utilize Python and Linux for scripting and system operations.
- Engage in electrical debugging, including working with PCBs, schematics, multimeters, and signal analysis.
- Maintain and contribute to code repositories using GitHub.
- Develop and document software solutions, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Manage and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet project requirements.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with clients and stakeholders, presenting technical information confidently.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree with a focus on Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or other relevant areas.
- 2+ years of relevant working experience designing hardware and software for embedded systems.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting and debugging hardware or software with embedded industrial control systems.
- Basic understanding of AWS and Cloud Systems
- Experience with Arduino hardware and libraries.
- Strong experience in programming with C/C++.
- Proficiency in Python and Linux.
- Familiarity with electrical debugging tools and techniques.
- Experience with Arduino or embedded controllers.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as RS485 and I2C.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
- Familiarity with mechanical concepts, particularly P&IDs, is a plus.
- Being able to think creatively while troubleshooting.
- Innovated thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter.
- Willingness to undertake significant overtime and out-of-state travel as required by project demands.
- Quick learner with a flexible approach to handle various tasks, including programming, documentation, testing, and demos.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
