Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Heavy Maintenance department, the Heavy Maintenance Manager, AFF Conversions will lead the modification of 8 aircraft into aerial firefighting aircraft in 4 years. This role involves identifying the resources required and leading those resources to fulfill deliverables.

Your responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage detailed schedules and timelines, incorporating all phases of the project.
- Identify and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor resource usage and adjust allocations as needed.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking all financial aspects.
- Facilitate regular communication and meetings with stakeholders.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure all project deliverables meet required standards.
- Identify and address project issues and challenges promptly.
- Oversee the technical aspects of the aircraft modification process.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage the development and reporting of key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for parts fabrication.
- Perform ground and flight testing of modified aircraft.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or project management is preferred.
- Registered Professional Engineer or Aircraft Maintenance Licence is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting aircraft modification projects.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
