The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the Finance area, commencing July 1, 2026. These positions are subject to budgetary approval.
Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. in Finance, or related fields, obtained in the last 3 years, although ABD near completion (within one year) will be considered. Candidates should have a strong record or promise in both research and teaching in the area. The position is open to all areas of finance.
Successful candidates for the position must have:
- Demonstrated research potential in the field of Finance,
- Ability to publish in top-tier business journals and maintain a highly productive research agenda,
- Ability to effectively teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the relevance of their research to a business audience.
The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics has over 150 full-time faculty and more than 6000 undergraduate and graduate students on campuses in Waterloo and Brantford, and Milton, Ontario. With a mission to achieve excellence in management education, the school offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including Honours BBA, MBA, MFin, MMA and PhD.
