About the Role

Mircom designs and manufactures numerous products in the Fire-Alarm and building management domain. Our products contain communication, audio, microprocessor and power devices (analog and switching). Mircom is seeking a PCB Layout Designer that will be working within the electronics design team. You will be responsible for the layout of mid to high complexity PCB designs on multi-layer printed circuit boards, as well as the expansion of the electronic part libraries for the Altium design environment. You will interface with various engineering disciplines daily to deliver a high-quality design within the given design requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Equivalent degree, in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in PCB layout design for production.

Required Skills

- Analog, Low Power Medium Speed Digital (
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet schedule commitments.
- Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills to support work in a team environment.
- Self-started, versatile and eager to learn.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on PCB Layout knowledge.
- DFT and DFM techniques knowledge.
- Experience with Altium Designer, Matlab and PSPICE.
- Experience with ERP (Dynamics AX) is a plus.
