Summary of Duties The Manager Gift Shops and Retail Vendor is responsible for the overall leadership, management and operations of the operations of three (3) unique Gift Shops.  This position reports to the CFO / VP Finance. Monitor budgets across multiple departments  Responsible for employees, and volunteers Help support to recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop paid staff Provide training and leadership to departmental staff and volunteers Attend buying trade shows and showrooms as required Support and maintain comprehensive staff training materials Support and maintain volunteer training materials Support and maintain gift shop policies and procedures Direct overall store merchandising look and seasonal changes Ensure staff and volunteers adhere to safe workplace practices Support and maintain overall policies for vendor program Provide leadership to admin assistant responsible for booking vendors Support staff and volunteers involved with patient comfort & care kits and initiatives Investigate and implement where feasible new ideas for patient comfort & care items     Qualifications/Skills   Experience in management and supervising retail employees Community College diploma, Business, retail, preferred Proficiency in use of Microsoft office applications Proven effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent experience with budget management Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team Proven effective problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change Established ability to facilitate change
