Rocky View Schools (RVS) is a dynamic, growing school board/jurisdiction in Alberta. As a Jurisdictional Leader in Rocky View Schools you will support the principal to:

- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of curriculum, and assessment practices

- Cultivate an engaging learning environment focused on the unique needs of all learners

- Work collaboratively to build meaningful relationships between home, school and community

- Build an environment where learners have an active role and voice

- Demonstrate instructional leadership

- Demonstrate consistent use of research-informed pedagogy and leadership practices

- Create a safe and caring learning environment in which learners are challenged, engaged, supported and successful

- Model personal commitment to learning, while fostering a culture of reflection, self-awareness and growth

- Facilitate and promote the development of leadership capacity in others

- Demonstrate effective management strategies

- Facilitate the school-wide opportunities for students to explore, engage and experience career learning

Y our Education and Experience will reflect:

- Bachelor of Education

- Completion or near completion of a Master's degree in an area relevent to school-based leadership

- For internal candidates, completionof Administrative Leadership Program I and II

- For external candidates, must have school administrator experience or completed a jurisdictional leadership training program

- Possession of a current Alberta Teaching Certificate

- A minimum of five years successful teaching experience

- Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities

- Demonstrated capacity to remain current and lead with information technologies
