Then we have a position for you PURPLEFARM is one of Canada's premier craft cannabis producers. Coming from the legacy market, PURPLEFARM currently operates a 12,000 sq ft facility out of Johnstown, Ontario and has expanded into Fredericton, New Brunswick to operate a 90,000 sq ft facility.

Overview: As the Plant Inventory Specialist at PURPLEFARM, you will be entrusted with a variety of executive, managerial, and administrative tasks related to plant inventory management. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Cultivation Director, and senior management to ensure the smooth operation of the cultivation facility, supporting all activities necessary to maintain optimal inventory levels and plant health.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Inventory Management

- Create new production batches within the inventory system

- Remove existing plant inventory from the inventory system as necessary

- Assist with monthly plant inventory reports to ensure accuracy and completeness

- Maintain plant inventory records with 100% accuracy, ensuring proper tracking of all plant movements and batch production

2. Operational Support

- Assist in cultivation and production tasks, including but not limited to irrigation/fertigation, cloning, transplanting, topping, defoliation, flushing, trimming, packaging, waste disposal, and inventory management

- Support the development and maintenance of plant production protocols and nutrient regimens

3. Compliance & Reporting

- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance with Health Canada regulations and Good Production Practices (GPP)

- Ensure the completion of sanitation tasks as outlined in SOPs, maintaining a clean and organized work environment

- Report concerns related to security and product loss promptly

- Assist with regulatory inspections and ensure that all records are available for review

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Support onsite troubleshooting and maintenance of critical systems (HVAC, irrigation, water treatment)

- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions

- Assist with construction project management and ensure that all maintenance activities do not pose a hazard to product integrity

5. Safety & Continuous Improvement

- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve safety standards and operational procedures

- Ensure preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs are conducted properly and documented

- Work with the team to support and improve security measures and ensure the safety of plant inventory

6. Other Duties: Perform any other duties as required by the Operations Manager, Cultivation Director, or senior management

Qualifications:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and plant cultivation processes
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain cultivation-related equipment
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (Health Canada, GPP)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times
- Horticulture experience is considered an asset
