Compliance Specialist

Then we have a position for you PURPLEFARM is one of Canada's premier craft cannabis producers. Coming from the legacy market, PURPLEFARM currently operates a 12,000 sq ft facility out of Johnstown, Ontario and has expanded into Fredericton, New Brunswick to operate a 90,000 sq ft facility.
We are looking for a COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST (INVENTORY) to work with our amazing Post-Harvest team, ensuring we are producing the highest quality of cannabis.
Responsibilities would include:
1. Read, follow and train other employees on all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
2. Follow specific instructions from the Post Harvest Manager.
3. Work closely with the Quality Assurance Person.
4. Accurately weigh and record all cannabis material and byproducts (e.g. waste material) using Excel spreadsheets and our inventory software (Elevated Signals).
5. Responsible for the completion of reporting within cannabis seed-to-sale software (Elevated Signals).
6. Responsible for recording of in-process data for internal reporting purposes.
7. Store and organise product to ensure easy and efficient retrieval for shipments.
8. Promote and maintain product quality by performing all tasks accurately and thoroughly.
9. Perform product destruction as per company procedures.
10. Learn and understand the processes in Post-Harvest to accurately update records.
11. Create manifests for shipping orders and send to Director of Logistics and Quality Assurance Person.
12. Check with Director of Logistics for shipping date and have the product on skids the day before. See list posted for specific skid requirements for different customers.
13. Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
14. Perform all other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in training others on Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Inventory & Compliance experience is a must.
3. Attention to detail is required, and experience managing data.
4. Previous experience in Quality Assurance/Control in a production environment is an asset.
5. Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset. Previous cannabis industry experience is an asset.
6. Superb organisational and time management abilities.
7. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Extended periods of sitting or standing are required.
10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Position:
1. Overtime is required during peak times and to meet deadlines.
