We are seeking passionate Nurse Practitioners from all over Canada who travel on assignments to remote northern communities of Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Nunavut. We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks. The work you will do: 1. Work in a team atmosphere performing an expanded scope of practice in communities, providing primary and emergency care to all residents – from newborns to elders – through a nursing station / Health Center in a clinic atmosphere. 2. Utilize observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan. 3. Conduct health promotion, assessments, planning, and implementing care using Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines, including primary care, emergency care, travel nursing, creating care plans, IPAC, communicable disease control, and immunizations. 4. Ensure the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety of clients are met to the greatest extent within your scope of practice. Why Bayshore? 1. You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing. 2. You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing. 3. You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work. 4. You meet the required work experience. 5. Qualifications Education Preferred Bachelor's degree or higher. Experience Required At least 3,000 hours of recent nursing experience within the past three years, in primary care and advanced clinical assessments, in emergency, ICU, or community settings such as healthcare centers. OR a minimum of 30 weeks (1125 hours) as a Nurse Practitioner within the past four years. OR at least 12 weeks (450 hours) of experience working in remote, isolated, or semi-isolated communities within the past year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
