You as an AS400 Quality Assurance Engineer will:
- Be accountable for deliverables and effectiveness of processes in quality assurance in the FMS team – functional and non-functional testing.
- Be responsible for root cause analysis of problems identified by end users and internal teams.
- Help adapt automated tests though tools such as Fortra Automate and API testing through Postman.
- Provide support to end-users to resolve issues.
- Be a champion for ensuring high-quality software by influencing processes, build efficiencies and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create, execute, and maintain effective test plans, test cases and test data based on business requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis on problems identified by internal teams and end users
- Accurately write and review development specifications, ensuring both a business and technical understanding.
This is the right role for you, if you have:
- A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6+ years of full-time industry experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Experience working with Finance and ERP applications in an environment with multiple integrated systems and complex business logic
- Technical expertise in manual and automated functional, performance, REST API and microservices testing.
- Strong technical knowledge in a wide range of Quality Assurance tools.
- Experience using SQL for database querying to troubleshoot user-reported issues.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and can provide:
- Technical leadership and mentorship to QA team members.
- Clear issue resolution support to customers.
- Experience with the IBM i platform.
