WSP is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Materials Technician to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team based in the City of Prince George, BC. This position is available in our Prince George office and laboratory. You will join our highly successful team, using your skills to assist in the management and execution of various high-profile and critical projects throughout BC and Yukon. WSP will support relocation and accommodation for candidates wishing to relocate.

A day in the life:

- Working with interdisciplinary project teams on high complexity work.
- Leading and performing material testing field assignments, including soil and concrete testing.
- Performing tests in our Prince George materials laboratory, including soil and concrete testing regime.
- Collaborating with our team of technicians and engineers to provide technical services in a field and laboratory environment related to geotechnical engineering.
- Participating in a team environment and being a strong communicator.
- Promoting strong workplace health and safety practices.

What you'll bring to WSP ...

- A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
- Confidence with remote work and assignment to projects in the northern environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Value added assets: Either possess or be eligible for CTech (Certified Technician) or AScT (Applied Science Technologist) certification.

Compensation

Expected Salary (British Columbia): $58,200 - $71,200.

The final salary awarded for this role may vary based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs. The salary range may be subject to change for business purposes.
