Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic

F11 Piling Solutions is looking for a motivated, versatile heavy duty journeyman mechanic to join our ever-growing team.

The fleet consists of specialized piling equipment, excavators, wheel loaders, loaders, skid steers, picker trucks, highway tractors, tractor and trailers, pickups, etc. The position will require in shop and in the field repairs to facilitate regular maintenance and production. Shop is based in Sexsmith AB, field work is job location based.

Candidate Qualifications

- Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeymen certificate
- Red Seal certification is considered an asset
- Can complete a CVIP inspection
- 4+ years’ experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, preferably with semi-truck and trailer experience (hydraulic repairs and diesel engine repair)
- Class 5 License with a clean drivers’ abstract required
- Ability to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
- Current and up to date first-aid and H2S alive safety certificates an asset
- Valid class 1 drivers’ license is considered an asset

Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections, on heavy truck and trailer equipment, in the shop and in the field.
- Engine
- Drive Train
- Wiring and light problems
- Electrical diagnostics
- Wheels
- Brakes
- Clutches
- Complete required documentation and reporting for inspections and repairs
- Prepare work orders/cost estimates for service approval
- Conduct all job responsibilities in accordance with F11 HSE standards, guidelines, and rules
- Shop maintenance and clean up
