Our work culture includes a dynamic mix of professionals, with a diversity of skills and expertise.As a member of our Fort Hills Mine Mobile Reliability Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving safety & reliability on Mine mobile equipment that enable business units to operate safely and reliably.**Minimum Requirements:*** 8 years of experience in Mine Mobile equipment or automotive* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Heavy Equipment Technician certification.* Registered or immediately eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)* A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite* Well-developed critical thinking, with an ability to apply logic and challenge assumptions* Demonstrates a zero‑tolerance approach to shortcuts and takes initiative to correct any identified procedural errors.**Responsibilities:*** Provide technical guidance, solutions and troubleshooting support to our Mine mobile maintenance and operations stakeholders.* Develop technical repair scopes to support the mine maintenance organization* Support and drive site improvements opportunities to increase asset performance and availability.* Identify and resolve threats to availability within the mine mobile equipment fleet* Review fleet key performance indicators to gauge performance and opportunities* Perform both failure analysis and incident investigations to drive learnings and prevent reoccurrence.* Assist Maintenance organization with shop tooling solutions* Steward cross-boundary relationships with our mine maintenance and operation teams* Use root cause analysis methods for asset and process failure elimination**Location and other Key Details:*** The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation ; 12 hour shifts* You will work out of our Fort Hills site office North of Fort McMurray, Alberta on a FIFO (Fly-in Fly-out) from Calgary or Edmonton or BIBO (Bus-in-Bus-out) for Fort McMurray residents.* This position is safety sensitiveSuncor's operations include oil sands development, production and upgrading; offshore oil and gas; petroleum refining in Canada and the U.S.; and the company's Petro-Canada retail and wholesale distribution networks (including Canada's Electric Highway, a coast-to-coast network of fast-charging electric vehicle stations).With a strong strategy for growth and our long-standing approach to sustainability, operational excellence, capital discipline and technology and innovation, Suncor offers a solid foundation for you to continue building your career.
