We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Specialist with strong desktop support experience to join our team in Montreal. In this dual role, your primary focus will be providing technical support for our IT infrastructure, while also supporting facilities‑related activities. While prior facilities experience is an asset, it is not a requirement—we're looking for someone eager to learn and grow in this area over time.

As the Technical & Facilities Support Specialist, you will ensure the availability, reliability, and security of the desktop computing environment. You'll be involved in resolving complex technical incidents, supporting end users on‑site, and contributing to continuous improvements in IT service delivery. On the facilities side, you’ll receive guidance and support to assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

This role requires someone who is bilingual in French and English.

The Technical and Facilities Specialist will be working in the capacity of a Desktop Admin supporting end users from the Montreal office.

About The Role

- Act as a Desktop Administrator supporting onsite users in the Montreal office with hardware/software issues, network and printing problems, mobile device support, and IT incident resolution.

- Maintain and support the corporate desktop environment, including Windows OS, hardware, applications, and user profiles.

- Provide tier 2 technical support and manage end‑user incidents, striving for high First Call Resolution (FCR) rates.

- Support IT security processes for desktop and local server environments at the site.

- Contribute to small‑to‑moderate projects, and act as a team lead and coach to junior IT specialists.

- Work cross‑functionally to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement in both IT and facilities‑related processes.

- Participate in facilities and real estate functions such as coordinating workspace changes, office safety procedures, and minor maintenance—with training and guidance provided.

- Support compliance with safety, building, and government standards, with mentorship available for facilities‑related responsibilities.

What You Need to Succeed

Education

- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Relevant technical certifications such as Windows 10, CompTIA, or similar are preferred.

- Facilities‑related certifications (e.g., FMA, CFM) are assets but not required—willingness to learn is key.

Experience

- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in desktop support or IT technical support roles.

- Exposure or interest in facilities management or workplace services is a plus, but not mandatory.

Skill Requirements

- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across desktop/laptop hardware, Windows 7/10 OS, mobile devices, and common software applications.

- Familiarity with network setups, printing systems, and endpoint security.

- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about workplace safety regulations, building systems, and facilities procedures.

- Previous experience with IT project work, including scheduling and resource coordination.

- Excellent communication skills and a consultative, customer‑first mindset.

- Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and provide high‑level service in a hybrid technical/operational role.

- Familiarity with CADD drawing systems is a plus.

- Ability to make a difference and lasting impact.
