About Our Client
Our client is sourcing an Actuarial Analyst for a 12-month contract.

The Actuarial Analyst will support the development, analysis, and maintenance of actuarial models and financial projections. This role provides key analytical insights to support pricing, valuation, forecasting, and risk management activities. The successful candidate will work closely with senior actuaries and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of actuarial analyses used in strategic decision-making.

About the Opportunity

- Assist in the preparation of reserving, pricing, and valuation analyses for various insurance products or portfolios.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to project claims, premium, and policyholder behavior.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and capital adequacy assessments.
- Conduct experience studies, including mortality, lapse, and expense analyses.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Product teams to provide actuarial input for business planning and forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, presentations, and actuarial memos.
- Ensure compliance with actuarial standards of practice, internal controls, and corporate governance requirements.
- Support the automation and process improvement of actuarial tools and workflows.
- Pursue professional actuarial exams and stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and methodologies.

About You

- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years+ of actuarial experience in insurance, reinsurance, consulting, or financial services.
- Progress toward an actuarial designation (SOA, CAS, CIA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
- Solid understanding of actuarial concepts, probability, and statistical modeling.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Prophet, AXIS, or other actuarial modeling software is an asset
- Exposure to IFRS 17, Solvency II, or capital modeling frameworks is an asset
