New Patient Dental Exam
We recommend completing our new patient form prior to your first appointment if possible.Your cooperation in completing this questionnaire is essential for us to provide you with safe and appropriate dental care. If you cannot complete the form in advance, please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your appointment. This should allow you enough time to complete it at ourBurnaby dental office.
During your first visit to our dental office in Burnaby, we will review your dental and medical history, and perform a thorough dental examination. This will include a series of dental X-rays and an intra-oral examination, which will help us better assess your smile and dental needs.
Treatment Plan
Following your initial assessment, our team will take time to discuss your current dental health, explore your goals for your ideal smile, make recommendations, and develop a treatment plan that will help meet or exceed your expectations.
Insurance & Payment
At Ocean Dental , we will gladly help you navigate our options for payment. Our administrative team will also work with you and your dental insurance provider to maximize your benefits during your treatment.
Insurance Claims
It has become increasingly difficult for dental practices to communicate with insurance agencies, who prefer speaking to their clients directly.
We will send pre-authorization requests to your insurance provider and assist you with your claim form submissions to make the process as seamless as possible.
Rest assured, you will typically receive reimbursement for your dental claims within two to five business days after submission.
Payment Methods
The full treatment cost must be paid at the time of your appointment. We accept payment by cash, debit or most major credit cards.
Support for Anxious Patients
Anxiety or fear around dental appointments is very common and it can prevent people from getting the dental care they need. If this sounds like you, we can help.
The team at Ocean Dental has a variety of practices in place, including dental sedation options, to help you relax during your appointments. Sedation options can help patients who are anxious about visiting a dentist, those who avoid regular dental care, those who experience pain or who simply prefer to sleep through a procedure.
