Location: Brossard, Quebec (CA-QC)

Assignment: Temporary

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

# of openings: 1

Salary range: Step 1 : $CAN43.82/hour; Step 2*: $CAN46.74/hour (*After 90 worked days)

Your role

Your responsibilities

- Perform mechanical maintenance, and inspect, repair, dismantle, and assemble machinery, locks, bridges, and both light and heavy equipment;

- Modify or fabricate parts for machinery and structures of locks, bridges, and buildings, according to specifications;

- Assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair equipment and machinery;

- Perform hydraulic maintenance and inspect diesel and gas engines;

- Assist with civil work and operate lifting equipment, as required;

- Unload, load, and transport heavy machinery and equipment;

- Complete standard maintenance field reports;

- Perform minor welding and cutting repairs.

Your profile

- Holder of a Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanics (CCQ) – Millwright;

- Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in maintenance, installation, and inspection of heavy equipment and mechanical systems;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical manuals;

- Practical knowledge of mechanical and rigging procedures and techniques;

- Eligible for marine transportation security clearance;

- Available to undergo a medical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening;

- Valid driver’s license (Class G in Ontario or Class 5 in Quebec) with an insurable driving record;

- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and near open water;

- Ability to communicate effectively in French, both verbally and in writing.
