Job Summary: Compliance Coordinator

Reporting to Avenir's HSE Manager, the Compliance Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining process documentation, communicating and training staff on procedures, and following up to ensure adherence. The successful candidate will review provincial carrier profiles, provide regular updates, and report to external reporting programs. Additionally, they'll manage roadside inspection forms, update the Fleet Monitoring System (Geotab), and assist with various HSE/Fleet department projects. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting a variety of exciting initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and update process documentation, focusing on Hours of Service, Vehicle Files, Pre-Trip Inspections, Driver Files, and Roadside Inspection Follow-Up. Communicate and train field personnel on these processes through in-person sessions and conference calls.

2. Conduct regular reviews of Provincial Carrier profiles, prepare summary report and report opportunities for improvement.

3. Conduct regular reviews, audits and prepare summary reports of:

1. Drivers Hours of Service records including supporting documentation.

2. Driver files, pre-trip inspections and vehicle files for compliance to company standards.

3. Provincial Carrier profiles, prepare summary report and report opportunities for improvement to Management and the field.

4. Administration of the Fleet Monitoring System (Geotab).

5. Monitoring WCB account statuses.

6. Monitoring ComplyWorks/ISN for compliance with client requirements.

7. Other duties as assigned within the HSE team portfolio.

Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years experience in a similar role.

2. Post secondary education in a related discipline.

3. Microsoft Office, JDE, Fleet Management / Monitoring Systems.

4. Fleet Regulatory Compliance/ Fleet Safety / Fleet Management Experience or Training.

5. Strong organizational skills, strong communication skills.

6. Preference for bilingual (English/French).
