JOB OVERVIEW

The Service Operations Training Manager role is responsible for implementing the competence development strategy, training, and provides continuous improvement so that the skills and performance of employees meet current and future needs. A Training Manager leads the team of professionals who assist in creation and execution of training.

Please note: This position is 100% remote and open to considering candidates in US, Canada, and Mexico.

JOB DUTIES:

- Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops teams/team of training professionals to ensure that KONE's training and development strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets.

- Manages the training activities to ensure that they meet the required objectives, and they are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with KONE's policies and standards.

- Maintains strong connections with other colleagues within KONE to share best practices and to understand current and future trends.

- Ensures the safety of all employees and trainees within the training environment.

- Analyzes and determines training needs, administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs and objectives.

- Develops, delivers and evaluates training programs and curriculum so that the knowledge, skills, and performance of employees meet the organization's current and future requirements.

- Collaborates with functional and operational managers to develop and implement training plans that are appropriate for their business needs, but consistent with KONE's overall training strategy.

- Manages the production of training materials and tools.

- May supervise or conduct special training courses designed for selected key groups.

- Maintains and analyzes organization and individual training records to monitor the effectiveness of internal and external training programs.

- Stays current on developments and innovations in training and education in industry and government education sectors so that the organization's training activities develop accordingly.

- Ensures the training facilities and events meet KONE expectations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- One week per month in the field with Technicians.

- Understanding of how each technician process works down to the 'key stroke required' to do each task.

- Prioritize all training, set the business direction for anything that P&C delivers.

- All training requests are 'scrubbed' for clarity and 'time effectiveness.'

- Rotating user groups (techs) for ideas to lean out.

- Regular surveys to rate our effectiveness - is it easy to be a technician.

- Deep engagement in the Field Technician Landing – content, tips and tricks.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors or Master's degree in Education/Engineering or equivalent experience.

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in managing training or equivalent experience.

- Excellent English and local language skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Project Management skills and Change Management skills.

- Ability to travel with overnight stays up to 25%.

- General knowledge in Adult Education in similar environments.

- Knowledge and understanding of mentoring and coaching.

- Learning Management System experience and eLearning/virtual training knowledge and development experience preferred.

- General knowledge and prior experience in the area in question.

Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any location within the area of the role's scope of responsibility.

The compensation package offered will depend on the candidate's ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
