Progressive Quality Assurance Position

Position: Quality Assurance (QA) Administrator

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Salary: 35-45K (depending on experience) + Benefits

Description: Our client is a unique marketing and promotional importing company that specializes in developing innovative and promotional gift ideas for the cosmetic, fragrance, and toiletries industry.

As a QA Administrator, you are the right-hand person for the department Manager. Your main focus is to assist the QA Manager in sourcing, developing, and reviewing products and samples for some of Canada’s most popular retail chains today.

Responsibilities:

1. Sample approval: Review samples pre-pro and production, give input and ensure product matches specifications.
2. Set up and follow up on product testing when required. Ensure a copy of relevant reports are maintained.
3. 3rd party Inspection: Write inspection criteria, follow up on quotations, interpret reports, and schedule inspections. Send reference samples to the inspection company when available.
4. Incoming inspection: Inspect all incoming orders following Orchard procedure and consult with teams if problems are found.
5. Respond to questions on product quality, providing written reports.
6. Ensure SOPs are followed on DIN orders.
7. Ensure Orchard SOPs are followed for Skincare/cosmetic products.
8. Prepare SDM specs.
9. Prepare Product release documents, gather product release samples, deliver to SDM, as required.
10. Monitor Orchard assembly/production when required.
11. Assist in writing import specifications when required.
12. Assist in other QA needs as they arise.

9. Previous QA experience is an asset.
