The Company:

Our Client is a well established multiple site food processor that is looking to build out a robust leadership team as the company continues to grow.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of People & Culture to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for driving people strategy, strengthening organizational culture, and supporting operational excellence across a dynamic food processing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead all aspects of human resources, including labour relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational development.
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with union representatives, ensuring effective negotiation, contract administration, and grievance management.
- Partner with senior leadership to align people and culture strategies with business objectives.
- Champion employee engagement, retention, and leadership development programs to support a high-performance workplace.
- Oversee compliance with employment legislation, health & safety standards, and corporate policies.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the food processing, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Strong track record in unionized environments, including collective bargaining and labor relations.
- Proven ability to lead change, influence at the executive level, and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, health & safety regulations, and best practices in HR management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
