Job Summary

The Cohort Leader works with the Program Leader to set the direction and uphold the professional standards for the successful delivery of certificate programs and related educational offerings within a revenue generating operation. Responsible for the planning, design, curriculum development, assessment and delivery of blended and online career and professional learning programs and courses. Highly knowledgeable about online learning, adult learning, instructional design, curriculum development, and virtual technologies, the Cohort Leader develops quality leading edge courses and programs while creating profile and visibility with both the community and industry.

Work Performed

1. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains market-oriented programs to attract new students.
2. Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic partnerships.
3. Prioritizes the continual improvement of technology-enhanced learning.
4. Assesses and iterates course and program content to meet academic standards.
5. Develops learning materials and educational instruction based on learning objectives.

Marketing and Promotion:

1. Contributes to marketing strategy and promotional copy.
2. Collaborates with the marketing department to ensure strategies are in place.
3. Develops relationships on campus and in the external community.

Instructors:

1. Establishes and upholds quality of delivery of programs through recruitment and evaluation of instructors.
2. Works closely with subject matter experts to develop instructional content.

Students:

1. Leads the program application and selection process.
2. Reviews student enrolment levels and develops strategies to boost enrolment.
3. Leads each cohort of certificate learners, providing guidance and oversight.

Finance:

1. Assists with planning and budgeting of educational programs.
2. Monitors budgets-to-actuals for reporting purposes.

Record Keeping:

1. Ensures processes for appropriate record keeping.
2. Performs other duties as specified by the Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of four years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Willingness to respect diverse perspectives.

- Commitment to enhancing awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

International Coaching Federation PCC-credentialed coach or equivalent. Experience in adult learning, instructional design, and educational delivery. Demonstrated knowledge in interpersonal communication and leadership.
