The Data Integration Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, execution, and optimization of end-to-end data integration processes.

This role ensures smooth coordination between upstream data sources and downstream consumers while managing Agile/Scrum activities.

The position requires deep expertise in data engineering, integration practices, and cross-team collaboration to support scalable, reliable, and efficient data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, Engineers, and other cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage upstream dependencies such as source system changes and data quality issues, and assess downstream impacts including reporting delays and model updates.
- Optimize data flow processes to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance across systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration bottlenecks to minimize disruptions for stakeholders.
- Lead change management efforts for data integration initiatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Develop communication materials and training documentation to support adoption of new workflows or system changes.
- Assess risks related to data integration and propose effective mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data integration roles, with hands-on expertise in Azure technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
- Strong understanding of the data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
- Proven ability to resolve issues related to upstream/downstream data dependencies, such as latency, schema changes, or API limitations.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for tracking backlogs, sprints, and deliverables.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for bridging technical and business teams.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Azure or big data ecosystems.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
