Patient Care System READY Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Patient Care System READY Business Analyst with a strong background in leading clinical design and build activities within Cardiac Services. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating, managing, and executing tasks related to the design, build, and testing of MEDITECH® Expanse for the Cardiac service line, while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management and Coordination:

- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of activities associated with the clinical design and build of MEDITECH Expanse for Cardiac services.
- Ensure integration of project activities with the master project plan, ensuring alignment across multiple work streams.
- Track and monitor project progress, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the project team, ensuring accountability and milestone achievement.
- Coordinate with the Advance Program Management Office for status reporting and escalate any issues as necessary.

2. Design, Build, and Testing:

- Participate in the design and development of test cases, following test scripts, performing testing, and identifying and reporting any issues or bugs.
- Oversee the build activities to ensure system configurations are developed according to clinical specifications for the Cardiac service.
- Support the transition from design to implementation, ensuring proper support for end users.

3. Risk and Issue Management:

- Identify risks and issues related to the project, and work proactively to mitigate them.
- Use established governance processes for risk and issue escalation.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues to avoid project delays.

4. Communication and Stakeholder Management:

- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including project sponsors, user groups, and other key players.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, key milestones, and any challenges.
- Ensure clear and transparent reporting aligned with project goals.

5. Knowledge Transfer and Mentoring:

- Facilitate the transition of knowledge throughout the project to Fraser Health's internal resources.
- Mentor internal staff to promote effective knowledge transfer and ongoing skill development.

6. Documentation and Administration:

- Assist in the maintenance of key project artefacts, such as project plans, risks and issues logs, action items, and deliverables.
- Contribute to project documentation for ongoing program evaluation and optimization.

7. Onboarding and Orientation:

- Work with the TMO to develop and maintain orientation packages for new team members and resources.
- Ensure new resources are properly onboarded and supported in their roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Healthcare IT systems and operational support.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management related to business system implementations, particularly in clinical settings.
- Proven experience in leading design and build activities within healthcare EHR systems, specifically MEDITECH Expanse.
- Deep understanding of Cardiac Service workflows and their integration with EHR systems.
- Prior knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, Jira, and other project management tools is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of Cardiac Service workflows and their integration with EHR systems.
- PMP Certification or equivalent project management training is an asset.
