We're looking for an Accounting Service Representative to join our growing Accounts Receivable Team with Nordic Insurance
What you'll do here:
- Accurately process and verify payments received, reconcile bank deposits and verify deposit totals
- Prepare, compile and dispatch invoices, statements, reports and cheques
- Record and post broker billing statements and payments in the payment register and accounting system
- Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding amounts
- Review and resolve daily cash reports, correct and adjust journal entries and process cheque requisitions
- Verify and post banking information, review new business, amend payment schedules, and process premium refunds for accounts
- Handle unresolved issues regarding payments, disbursements, billing arrangements, payment methods and account discrepancies
- Process cancellations, payment bank returns, queue calls
What you bring to the table:
- College diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- At least 1 year experience in a similar role
- Can consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed
- Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
