Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Operations Control Center (OCC) Engineer to join our team and oversee the successful implementation and operational readiness of the Operations Control Center for a world-class metro project.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a transformative transit infrastructure project, ensuring the seamless integration, functionality, and efficiency of the OCC systems that support safe and reliable metro operations. If you have extensive experience in OCC design, testing, and commissioning, as well as a passion for driving excellence, we want to hear from you.

This role requires significant experience in rail and metro projects, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the UAE or GCC region.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Act as the client's representative to ensure the design, implementation, and operation of OCC systems meet project specifications and operational requirements.
2. Oversee the integration of critical systems within the OCC, including signaling, SCADA, telecommunications, and passenger information systems.
3. Participate in and validate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
4. Monitor contractors' progress and compliance with international safety, security, and operational standards.
5. Provide expert guidance on operational readiness, ensuring the OCC is fully prepared for normal operations and emergency scenarios.
6. Coordinate between the client, contractors, and operations teams to facilitate seamless communication and issue resolution.
7. Review technical documentation, including designs, operational procedures, and training materials.
8. Prepare regular reports on OCC progress, system performance, and operational readiness for stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 15 years of experience in the design, installation, testing, maintenance, etc. of the OCC control systems.
3. Technical skills and proficiency in troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.
4. Familiarity with OCC technologies, including SCADA systems, signaling systems, and communication systems.
5. Experience overseeing the installation and testing of electronic/electrical systems.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
8. GCC experience is preferred.
9. Experience on large Rail Infrastructure program is a must.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
