Northern Lights Public Schools for the following position: C2526-33 Electrical Pre-Employment Instructor This is an asynchronous position from February 2 to July 10, 2026, with online learning and onsite lab instruction, for Northern Lights Public Schools, Northeast Alberta Collegiate Institute. This unique cohort comprises learners from four different partner school divisions, requiring an instructor adept at managing and engaging a varied student body in a dynamic online environment. About the PositionNorthern Lights Public Schools, in partnership with Portage College, is actively seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy journeyperson to instruct in our Electrical program. Responsibilities include: Deliver engaging theory and hands-on lab instruction to students in the Electrical program Develop learning materials and assessments tailored for adult learners, which will include the use of various Microsoft Office programs, following college and program guidelines Support student success by providing timely feedback and evaluations Promote and enforce safety protocols in both classroom and lab settings, in line with Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety Act Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where everyone feels valued Continuously improve instructional practices to enhance student learning Stay connected with industry professionals and regulatory bodies to ensure our program meets industry standards and best practices Qualifications and Experience: Journeyperson Electrician; preference will be given to candidates with Master or Red Seal certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in adult instruction, training, or tutoring is considered an asset Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Proficiency in computer skills, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Knowledge or experience with Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an asset The successful applicant will be required to provide a current police information check Interested applicants can apply via Apply to Education as per the instructions on the Northern Light Public Schools Website.
