**Northern Lights Public Schools for the following position**:
**C2526-33 Electrical Pre-Employment Instructor**

**This is an asynchronous position from February 2 to July 10, 2026, with online learning and onsite lab instruction, for Northern Lights Public Schools, Northeast Alberta Collegiate Institute.**

This unique cohort comprises learners from four different partner school divisions, requiring an instructor adept at managing and engaging a varied student body in a dynamic online environment.

**About the Position**

Northern Lights Public Schools, in partnership with Portage College, is actively seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy journeyperson to instruct in our Electrical program.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Deliver engaging theory and hands-on lab instruction to students in the Electrical program

- Develop learning materials and assessments tailored for adult learners, which will include the use of various Microsoft Office programs, following college and program guidelines
- Support student success by providing timely feedback and evaluations
- Promote and enforce safety protocols in both classroom and lab settings, in line with Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where everyone feels valued
- Continuously improve instructional practices to enhance student learning
- Stay connected with industry professionals and regulatory bodies to ensure our program meets industry standards and best practices

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in adult instruction, training, or tutoring is considered an asset
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
