Job Summary:
As a BDR, you are responsible for creating new business opportunities and managing relationships with current and prospective customers. This involves crafting and executing outreach campaigns, engaging with potential clients, and contributing to the overall success of the sales team and marketing team.

We're a small start-up turned global leader in the marine software space, now serving many of the world's largest maritime companies worldwide.
We're looking for a new team member to join us as a Business Development Representative (BDR) on our North American Sales team and help us continue our incredible growth.
What you are responsible for:
1. Outreach and Engagement: Develop and implement outreach strategies via phone, email, and social media to attract new customers. Achieve the desired goal for emails/social touches daily that help break into new accounts, set up demos, and win deals.
2. Sales Funnel Management: Schedule demos, generate sales funnel, and track activities towards achieving team success metrics.
3. Sales Playbook Improvement: Collaborate with the sales team to iterate and enhance the sales playbook.
4. Feedback and Insight: Provide valuable feedback from outreach activities to the sales and product teams to support continuous product improvement.
5. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
6. Market Awareness: Stay informed about market conditions, technical services, and products by reading relevant literature.
7. Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic account planning in close collaboration with the Account Management team.
8. Travel: Travel as required to support the desired business outcomes.
9. Cultural Support: Uphold and promote the company's culture of teamwork, approachability, accountability, and determination.
What you bring to the team:
1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in marketing, business development, or inside sales, or a strong desire to enter the SaaS sales field.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
4. Learning Agility: Ability to quickly learn new products and effectively communicate their value to customers.
5. Sales Skills: Strong ability to engage in conversations that attract prospective customers and close deals.
6. Independence and Collaboration: Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
7. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
8. Organization: Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Bonus points if you also have:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
2. Technical Tools: Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, SharePoint, Slack, and Confluence.
