Help support the implementation of program changes focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the performances and practices related to shelter service delivery Manage employee performance and perform necessary administrative duties such as vacation planning, timekeeping, performance reviews, etc. Ensure effective communications with other departments within Homes First Society as well as with external agencies Support with data collection, evaluation, and development Ensure that all reports and documentation is completed to agency and Shelter Standards Be able to work outside work hours when required Willing and able to participate in a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule and provide appropriate support to the calling site Other duties as required Qualifications: Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent in education and experience At least 3 years’ experience working with people who are homeless, under-housed and dealing with addictions and mental illness. At least 1 years’ experience supervising unionized staff. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills Demonstrated interpersonal, decision making, conflict management, critical thinking, and organizational skills Knowledge of relevant laws, standards and guidelines; including the Toronto Shelter Standards Familiarity of the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety, Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Demonstrated ability to work with 2SLGBTQ+ communities including demonstrated experience integrating anti-racism, anti-oppression and intersectional values and principles into daily practice Ability to be self-directed, work independently and manage a varied workload. Certificates in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention and Intervention an asset Certificate of Completion of Homelessness Learning Hub’s Harm Reduction for the Homelessness Sector considered an asset Demonstrated experience working with refugees and newcomers Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.
