Summary

The Senior Specialist, Communications & Public Relations will provide specialized expertise in external communications and public relations. They will oversee content creation and logistics for key meetings and events, and provide strategic communication advice to the Executive Director.

Job Description

As a Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the organization's external image and reputation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of content creation and logistics for key internal meetings, leadership meetings, and related meetings and events.
  • Guidance, advice, and oversight to the administration team regarding the development and maintenance of communication materials.
  • Supporting decision-making by providing strategic communication advice to the Executive Director.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A university degree in Communications or a related field, plus 4-6 years significant, recent, and relevant experience.
  • Experience working with First Nations politicians, leadership, and communities.
