The Hotel Renovations Coordinator oversees renovation projects and teams involved with the renovation tasks within the properties of Fantasyland Hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Creating, reviewing, and monitoring detailed renovation and design project timelines, ensuring adherence by the renovations team, contractors, and project participants.
- Sourcing materials, supplies, equipment, and contractors, negotiating prices on behalf of the organization for both specialty and regular renovation items.
- Supervising the Fantasyland Hotel renovations team, managing performance, and developing and adhering to budgets.
- Maintaining strong relationships with the design and construction teams, holding regular meetings with the Fantasyland Hotel General Manager, and attending relevant hotel and renovation events.
- Performing regular inspections and walkthroughs of the hotel to ensure renovation standards are met and projects are progressing as planned.
- Ensuring availability of supplies for renovation tasks and maintaining proper inventories.
- Collaborating with housekeeping, maintenance, and purchasing departments to manage inventory and procurement of renovation materials and supplies.
- Conducting quality assurance walks and reviewing guest feedback related to renovations.
- Acting as a liaison with the Hotel marketing department regarding renovation updates and enhancements.
- Maintaining databases of manufacturers and suppliers, and organizing the design library with catalogues and samples.
- Responding to emails and phone inquiries, acting as a liaison between business partners, clients, and the renovations team.
- Applying creativity and practical judgment to support renovation projects and assist with other related projects as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in interior design, renovations industry, or related administrative roles.
- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, or extensive experience in construction trades or related fields.
- Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with contractors and other hotel departments.
- Professional demeanor with excellent client relations and supervisory experience.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and adaptability to other software.
- Flexible availability for occasional evening and weekend projects.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- Full-time position with flexible hours, including weekends.
- Salaried role commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Ability to pass a basic security clearance.
