The Opportunity
We’re building a new broker mortgage services division from the ground up, and we need a sales hunter with entrepreneurial fire to help us win. This isn’t a hand‑holding role—you’ll be given a territory, quota and the tools to succeed, then it’s up to you to make it happen. Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within the broker mortgage segment
- Identify, prospect and close new business opportunities with mortgage brokers, broker networks and aggregators across your region
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using HubSpot CRM
- Keep HubSpot CRM up to date at all times
- Conduct regular face‑to‑face and virtual meetings with qualified prospects
- Own your results—celebrate wins, learn from losses and constantly raise your own bar
- Relationship Management
- Network relentlessly at industry events, broker meetings, conferences and anywhere brokers gather
- Connect with lenders and arrange to onboard any missing lenders
- Connect authentically at all levels—from brokerage executives and principals to individual brokers and operations managers
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers across broker organizations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic broker accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and retention
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance, identify growth opportunities and address concerns
- Build champions within broker organizations and brokerages
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the mortgage broker market—understand trends and competitive dynamics
- Provide market feedback to product and technology teams to inform platform enhancements
- Share competitive intelligence with leadership to shape strategy
- Stay informed on regulatory developments and how they impact broker operations
- Stay informed on lender strategies for broker business
- Learn from every interaction—what objections come up, what messaging resonates, what closes deals
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new broker clients
- Work with tech and product teams to facilitate platform integrations
- Represent the voice of the broker customer internally—advocate for what they need to succeed
- Provide sales forecasting and performance reporting to leadership
- Drive Results Through Action
- Be resourceful—find creative ways to get in front of prospects and stand out from competitors
- Never wait for leads to come to you—generate your own opportunities through outbound prospecting and persistent networking
- Move fast—respond to inquiries promptly and follow up while competitors are still drafting emails
- Maximize every opportunity—trade shows, referrals, LinkedIn connections, warm introductions—nothing goes to waste
- When deals get tough dig deeper—find the angle, solve the problem, bring in resources and get it across the finish line
Experience / Knowledge & Skills
- 3–5+ years of business development or sales experience in mortgage services, with a specific focus on the broker channel
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Deep understanding of mortgage broker and brokerage operations, workflows, and pain points
- Experience working with valuation services providers, lenders, or mortgage technology vendors
- Demonstrated success managing sales cycles
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential mortgage lending processes and appraisal requirements
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze performance
- Proficiency with HubSpot CRM platform and sales analytics tools is a plus
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network of relationships within the mortgage broker community that you can activate immediately
- Experience selling appraisal management, valuation services, AVMs, or mortgage technology solutions
- Knowledge of appraisal products (traditional, hybrid, desktop, AVM) and how they fit broker needs
- Understanding of lender requirements and residential mortgage lending processes
- Post‑secondary education in Business, Finance, or related field

Location
- Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario – Office‑based with flexible arrangements; 30–40% travel expected within the GTA and surrounding regions for client meetings, prospecting and industry events
Salary
$98,600 – $147,800 a year
