Oakville, Ontario, Canada Tesla, Inc. Full time
Tesla Regional Collision Managers are the leaders of our internal collision centers. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, developing team members, managing day-to-day operations, and expanding our field sites to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.

We are looking for high energy, inspirational leaders that are not bound by the norms of the industry. Tesla expects first principles thinking and a laser focus on accomplishing objectives no matter the obstacle. A successful candidate will come with a wide range of collision, insurance and OEM experience, be a thought leader that puts the customer first, and have the vision to lead a team through 5x growth over the next 2 years. We hire leaders who want to lead a team through a revolutionary and unprecedented part of history here at Tesla, as we transform the way the industry views body repair.

What You'll Do

1. Must deliver excellent results and achieve goals quarter after quarter, month after month, on all aspects of used car buyers, employees, quality, operations, strategic direction, and financials.
2. Quality focused: Our customers are changing the world, and it is your responsibility to deliver vehicles that exceed their expectations of what a world class used car buying experience should be. You will actively monitor quality and customer service trends to make necessary improvements and assist the team in developing appropriate standards and processes to continuously elevate the overall used car quality standard and process efficiency. The ideal candidate is solution oriented, demonstrating a high ability to identify root cause of problems and develop solutions when faced with adversity.
3. People: Our leaders eliminate barriers. We expect you to lead through others and be 100% committed to the success of your team while actively involving yourself in your team members' growth and development. Your team will look to you to set the standard for open communication, active problem solving, and a positive work environment. We will look to you, and your ability to coach and teach, to build a team of top talent and mentor the next generation of Tesla leaders.
4. Operational Excellence: You must understand and own every aspect of your region's performance. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvements to facilitate exceptional team output and customer service by partnering with operations teams on strategic execution. We expect you to champion safety, efficiency, quality, and overall excellence in all your actions and decisions across multiple locations.
5. Strategic direction: Establish the strategy and business plan for the overall performance and growth of your region, evaluate resource needs in different markets and develop new locations, and partner with used car sales, logistics, and collision teams to build a cohesive network of used car reconditioning facilities.
6. Financials: Expected to understand our business, know their numbers and lead the center's daily operations to achieve specific goals in quality, productivity, output, cost as well as revenue/margin where applicable. You will need to leverage your understanding of the financials to justify investments in existing shops and expand our footprint across your region.
7. Our Regional Collision Managers act in the best interest of Tesla. You must have a passion for our mission, product, and people.

What You'll Bring

1. Professional experience: Prior leadership experience in a collision or reconditioning focused industry.
2. Ability to travel up to 75% or more if required, across the entire country.
3. Leadership experience: Experience leading teams of 100+ remotely and managing a diverse group of roles and responsibilities.
4. Process/operations experience: Strong and proven experience leading field, technical repair or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with strong quality focused responsibilities.
5. Experience developing and operating complex processes using lean or other techniques.
6. Technical acumen is required – you must develop a knowledge of all Tesla products, as well as collision or reconditioning systems, processes, and procedures.
7. Valid driver's license required.
