Kinetic Construction Ltd has an opportunity within our Victoria branch for a Corporate Accountant to ensure the following outcomes:

1. Project cost reports, gross profit analyses, and trend reports are accurate, consistent, and support proactive financial management.

2. Operational and management reporting tools are simplified, standardized, and easy for partners to use.

3. External audit processes are well-prepared and coordinated, resulting in smooth completion and minimal adjustments.

4. Annual budget templates, consolidations, and uploads are completed with precision and meeting planning timelines.

5. Accounting systems and related financial tools are administered effectively to ensure reliability and usability.

6. Department procedures and documentation are developed, maintained, and continuously improved through Lean practices.

7. Provides effective leadership and mentorship to accounting team members, ensuring clarity of roles, professional development, and alignment with departmental goals. Builds a collaborative environment that promotes accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for preparing all financial reporting information produced in the department. This position ensures all transactions and reporting is completed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The Corporate Accountant will make meaningful contributions to simplify, streamline and standardize operational management reporting.

The wage band for the position is $77,500–$116,200 and is based on relevant skills and experience.

Position Specifications

- Completed accounting designation; CPA, CA, CGA or CMA, or 5+ years equivalent experience

- 2+ years experience preparing financial statements and working with senior level leaders

- Prior experience in Construction Industry considered an asset

- Prior experience with SAGE – Intacct considered an assetExceptional knowledge of GAAP and ASPE

- Strong communicator, relationship builder and business leader

- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills

- Detail oriented, process driven and efficiency seeker skills are all highly beneficial
