As a GoodMorning.com Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing vendors to meet a company's procurement needs. This role involves researching market trends, negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring that the materials or services sourced align with the company's quality, cost, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, and delivery requirements.

In this role, you will

1. Collaborate with internal teams, such as Brand, Consumer Products, Finance, Operations, and Quality, to understand and meet sourcing needs.
2. Identify suppliers based on quality, cost, regulatory, and delivery performance.
3. Prepare and issue RFx documents and ensure clarity in specifications and requirements.
4. Evaluate and select suppliers by conducting thorough due diligence, assessing reliability, production capabilities, and adherence to quality and ethical sourcing standards.
5. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and minimize risk.
6. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations and maintain strong, long-term relationships to ensure consistent supply.
7. Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to discuss achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
8. Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
9. Analyze the competitive landscape to make sure GoodMorning.com's products maintain a market advantage.

Minimum Requirements

1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a relevant area is advantageous.
2. At least 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a specific focus on sourcing new products.
3. Proven track record in developing and executing sourcing tactics that have led to the introduction of high-quality consumer products.
4. Understanding of procurement and sourcing regulations, product quality standards applicable in North America, and awareness of the global regulatory landscape affecting sourcing activities.
5. Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing long-term vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
6. Unwavering commitment to honesty, integrity, and strong moral and ethical principles in all procurement activities.

Skills to have

1. Strong negotiation skills, with experience in negotiating with suppliers to secure beneficial terms and ensure product quality and compliance.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with suppliers and collaborating internally with cross-functional teams.
3. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in reviewing contracts and procurement documentation, as well as the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
4. Proficiency in procurement software platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, Coupa) to manage sourcing cycles efficiently.
5. Financial analysis skills, including cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations of potential suppliers, considering quality, cost, reliability, and capacity, as well as sustainability and ethical practices.
