Before School Support – LTO – 7.5 hrs per week Riverside
The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) serves approximately 65,000 students in 123 schools. The Board is committed to creating learning environments that support the achievement and well-being of all students.
The successful candidate will work alongside a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) to support play-based programming for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6. Key responsibilities include:
- Following the guidance of the DECE operating the extended day classroom
- Supporting positive and responsive interactions among children, parents, and staff
- Encouraging children to interact and communicate in a positive way and supporting their ability to self-regulate
- Supporting child-initiated and adult-supported experiences
- Fostering an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and inclusive culture
Mandatory Educational and Experience Requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma and prior experience supervising and supporting children. A valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED is also required.
