The Analyst, Allocations is responsible to support the review process on projected forecasts for all promotional programs. They will assist in determining that the correct amount of inventory is allocated to stores based on store specific sales history, mapping, and impacts due to promotional strategy and seasonality. The Analyst, Allocations will provide the analytics to support the gap in projections between category and allocations while ensuring that both sales are maximized and inventory is minimized.

Accountabilities:

1. Provide forecast reviews on all regular promotional items and special programs.
2. Provide analytics to support the forecast position if there is a large discrepancy between the category and allocation estimates.
3. Provide direction on preferred merchandising tool to allocate (loose cases versus half or full pallet display units, or combination of).
4. Determine item allocation according to store specific sales history, mapping and seasonality impacts.
5. Validate DRP opportunities.
6. If no item history is available, allocate items according to the sales history of similar items and/or category history.
7. Ensure all store records are up to date for allocations to be completed.
8. Adjust store specific allocations according to current on-hand inventory.
9. Adjust allocations in specific cases based on feedback from the District Manager, Customer Experience Specialist, or Store Manager.
10. Review ad change files to ensure that items are purchased or cancelled.
11. Partner with Category Team and Off-shore Allocation Teams to review promotional sales strategies and planning.
12. Follow-up with the BCS team on allocations that are not delivered to stores.
13. Create an alternative supply plan if allocation is not triggered.
14. Support demand planners with system forecasting vs promotional allocation reviews.

Role Requirements:

1. Post-secondary education in Business or Economics or related field.
2. Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong analytical and communication skills.
4. Must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment.
5. Must have strong computer skills (MS Office).
6. Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
