January 3, 2025 Description**Knelsen Sand and Gravel Ltd**. provides premier road construction, concrete, and precast products and services throughout Alberta, including Cold Lake, Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, La Crete, Edmonton , Red Deer, Balzac and Calgary **Overview** We are seeking a dedicated HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Advisor to join our team at our Grande Prairie location. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and transportation regulations while promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This role will also be focused on the transportation safety and Carrier profile. **Responsibilities** - Develop and implement health, safety, security, and environmental programs - Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks - Provide training to employees on safety protocols , procedures and Big Roads programs - Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions - Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements - Monitor and analyze HSSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement - Monitoring carrier profile **Skills** - Strong supervisory skills to lead HSSE initiatives effectively - Proficiency in project management to oversee safety projects from inception to completion - Knowledge of safety processes to effectively communicate the importance of HSSE initiatives - Ability in process improvement methodologies to enhance safety practices - Experience in business development to promote HSSE culture within the organization - Leadership qualities to inspire and engage employees in safety practices - Past experience in transportation safety, Big Roads / Fleet Complete programs, Carrier profile knowledge and AMTA auditing as asset.
