Location: Flexible Work Location Arrangements Available
Application Deadline: December 17th, 2025
Role Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) engages directly with business users, process owners, leadership, and IT teams to perform structured technical and operational analysis of business needs. The BSA applies formal business analysis processes and methodologies to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring solutions are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned to business objectives.
This role contributes to solution design and business process improvements that enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with business, regulatory, and quality standards. The BSA maintains comprehensive and accurate analysis documentation, including requirements, process flows, specifications, and acceptance criteria, to support development, testing, and delivery. The BSA works closely with business leaders and process owners to drive innovation, efficiency, and flexibility across enterprise systems and processes. This role has full accountability for the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, championing quality governance, documentation standards, and requirement traceability from discovery through implementation and post-delivery validation, ultimately enabling a positive customer and employee experience.
What you will be doing:
- Execute end-to-end Business Analysis processes across the full requirements lifecycle, including discovery, elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, traceability, and change management.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, systems, data, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities, risks, and quality enhancements.
- Translate business needs into clear, complete, and testable functional and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and solution design.
- Identify, document, and validate non-functional requirements to support system reliability, scalability, performance, security, and availability.
- Apply domain expertise (e.g., financial products and regulated environments) to ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Partner closely with Development and QA teams to ensure solutions are built right the first time, participating in design reviews, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and defect triage.
- Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining acceptance criteria, preparing test scenarios, validating outcomes, and ensuring business readiness for release.
- Promote quality-driven delivery by integrating QA best practices, including collaboration on manual and automated testing strategies to enable early defect detection.
- Actively contribute to Agile delivery teams by developing high-quality user stories, defining success metrics, and participating in Agile ceremonies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with QA teams on the adoption and effective use of QA automation tools, supporting efficient and repeatable testing practices within the development lifecycle.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to elicit requirements, manage expectations, communicate progress, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Maintain complete and accurate BA documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, acceptance criteria, traceability artifacts, and test evidence.
- Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality outcomes to management and governance forums.
- Recommend and implement solution improvements that balance business value, quality, and delivery efficiency, continuously identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Perform data analysis and validation activities, including data integrity checks, migration support, and data cleansing as required.
- Ensure business processes and solution initiatives are aligned with organizational strategy and operational goals.
- Apply structured Business Analysis methodologies and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of BA standards, processes, and solution quality.
- Review, analyze, and optimize complex, cross-functional business processes, negotiating handoffs, controls, roles, and responsibilities to reduce inefficiencies and risk.
- Lead or facilitate design and prototyping sessions to validate requirements and support innovative solution development.
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience delivering solutions in complex technical and regulated environments.
- Ongoing professional development in Business Analysis or certifications such as CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) is considered a strong asset.
