Automation Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, as an Automation Engineer, you'll be a driving force behind automating our business processes and enhancing efficiency. You'll blend creativity, strategy, and technical expertise to develop and implement digital automation solutions. Key to your success will be investigating and analyzing existing processes brought forward by the business, then designing, developing, and deploying automations to streamline operations and improve productivity.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
1. Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to document current processes and devise methods for efficient automation.
2. Proactively identify sources of inefficiency and develop strategies to address them through automation.
3. Create and deliver effective documentation, including process maps, and technical specifications to be shared with the wider IT team and used as the basis for user guides as necessary.
4. Conduct testing and debugging of RPA solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and function correctly.
5. Create feedback mechanisms to monitor the status and efficacy of all created automations.
6. Maintain detailed records of automations, including progress reports and lessons learned.
7. Perform other responsibilities as required to meet organizational requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Have
1. Good understanding of business process management, development and improvement activities.
2. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
3. Familiarity with common data structures, database management and SQL.
4. Experience with DevOps processes to manage code release cycles and an understanding of agile development (scrum) methodology.
Nice to Have
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
2. Certification in UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or similar RPA tools is preferred.
3. Experience working with Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
4. Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid (on-site at least 3 days per week)
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually
