About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Process Equipment Design group, you will be responsible for providing assembly, testing, engineering, and CAD support.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Production of LIPEX lab-scale extruders (assembly, testing, packaging, and coordinating with shipping & receiving)
  • Inventory management to ensure all required LIPEX products, parts, and materials are available
  • Utilization and maintenance of detailed engineering drawings for mechanical parts, assemblies, and skid systems
  • Support for equipment testing and execution of Installation/Operational Qualifications (IQ/OQ) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Support for the development, testing, and optimization of industrial automation and control systems
  • Drafting and maintaining GMP-relevant equipment documentation
  • Support in 3D printing and post-processing
  • General housekeeping of shop floor and asset maintenance
  • Proposal of new opportunities and technical support for Intellectual Property development

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Diploma in a relevant technical field, preferably in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control
  • Experience in mechanical design, industrial automation, and control systems, process equipment assembly, and equipment testing
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD design (Solidworks preferred), Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and industrial automation and control systems
  • Previous knowledge of personal protective equipment and safety protocols and practices related to working with hazardous chemicals
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in hand and power tool usage
  • Troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems and assemblies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally on occasion for commissioning projects or customer support
