A typical day for the Pension Services Analyst

- Start your day with team standup meeting to review progress, priorities, and any issues
- Conduct requirement-gathering interviews, meetings, and workshops with stakeholders
- Analyze documents, data, and interfaces to identify business needs
- Create and update user stories, use cases, and business requirement documents
- Develop system requirement documents, requirement traceability matrices, and process flow diagrams
- Collaborate with project managers to support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress, provide status updates, and recommend corrective actions
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and integration testing
- Utilize tools such as Power BI, Incorta, and Excel to prototype dashboards to generate discussions and clarify requirements and expectations
- Work independently and collaboratively with management, end users, testers, developers, and other team members
- Provide training and support to end users and team members
- Drive and coordinate activities with data governance working groups and data stewards
- Develop and deliver presentations to senior management and executives
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of communications and training materials
- Facilitate change management activities
- Develop training strategies, plans, and materials for new business processes and applications
- End your day by reviewing progress, updating documentation, and preparing for the next day's activities

What you bring

- University degree, certification or diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Adept at requirements elicitation and documentation
- Adept at adding value for data analytics to the business and the technical teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality.
- Strong communication skills, including collaborating, encouraging, persuading and negotiating
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams
- Knowledge of pension services will be considered an asset
