Project Overview

Technology and Innovation require Information Technology (IT) professional resources to provide a Senior Business Analyst for the project delivery of the Appeals Commission Case Management System to support the Client Service Delivery within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation.

Senior BA that will facilitate workshops, produce documentation of current and future state, produce RFP's, and provide support, change management and coordination for implementation of software to modernize and enhance the business.

Duties:

  • Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Create new business and technical processes and complete business process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes.
  • Facilitate business process improvement sessions.
  • Facilitate vendor and business workshops to translate business requirements to technical requirements.
  • Schedule, organize, and lead project status meetings at all levels (business, vendor, TI) and other meetings as required.
  • Provide support by bridging communication between vendors, client ministries, and corporate technical and business teams.
  • Escalate unresolved issues/risks, option, and recommendations.
  • Participate in iterative development to provide oversight and ensure TI connections are provided to vendors.
  • Perform project coordination, and business and technical analysis for implementation of a complex case management system.
  • Prepare, update, and manage documents defining the business requirements, software requirements, functional design, and project plans and schedules reflecting achievable deliverables for the applications.
  • Prepare regular project status reports indicating project deliverables, possible risks and issues, timelines and anticipated effort.
  • Ensure appropriate project communication occurs to all parties involved during all phases of the project.
  • Identify and support the development of required user training and materials.
  • Identify and support the development and implementation of User Acceptance Testing.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the Project Manager for a Business Analyst or Lead Technical Analyst role

Required Work Experience

  • Experience as a business analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience in Business Process Redesign, Business Transformation, and Facilitation.
  • Experience with Change Management in the support of business change with system automation and throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Experience with project coordination including status reporting, tracking, escalations, and reporting.
  • Experience with Vendor Management and coordination of business and vendor and TI information and connections to support implementation.
  • Experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Experience in the design, development, and implementation of complex IT solutions.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience working in or for the public sector.
