You’ll tackle a rich variety of cases that will fine‑tune your clinical skills and boost your decision‑making. As a locum in our regional tertiary centre, you’ll manage everything from chronic conditions to acute crises, and from advanced geriatric care to emergency trauma. You will serve the varied needs of a richly diverse population, including Indigenous communities who have called this land home since time immemorial, as well as new Canadians beginning their lives in our country.

Qualfications
- You’ll hold, or be eligible for, licensure with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
- You’ll have current Certification with the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
- At RIH, you must have coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association in order to practice medicine.
- If you trained in the US, hold ABMS board certification in internal medicine, and are already authorized to work in Canada, you are invited to apply for a locum. To determine if you meet the criteria for the USA certified class licensure, please click here.
