Position Overview

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Coordinator isresponsible for supporting operational excellence through theimplementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes andsystems. This role ensures compliance with established standards byconducting inspections, managing documentation, and analyzing datato identify trends and improvement opportunities. The QualityCoordinator plays a key role in driving continuous improvementinitiatives, educating staff on quality practices, andcollaborating with operations to maintain product integrity andprocess reliability.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and update quality documentation, records, andreports; manage drop ball testing and ensure completion ofquality checklists.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality-related data;conduct inspections, audits, and tests to ensure adherence tostandards; identify improvement opportunities and implementcorrective actions.

- Educate staff on quality standards, procedures, and bestpractices.

- Perform water quality control testing and monitor dailyquality control of grinding media; maintain incoming barquality evaluation system and perform calibration checks onproduction equipment.

- Collaborate with operations on production, quality, andmaintenance issues impacting product quality.

- Maintain plant standard practice system, updateJSA’s, circulate management of change notifications, andmanage configuration of quality/safety documents.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary certificate, associate, or bachelor's degreein a related field (quality assurance, manufacturing, orengineering).

- Strong interest in process and quality engineering in amanufacturing environment.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation andBenefits

- Expected Total Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 peryear

- Eligible for variable compensation and group benefits
