The **Safety Coordinator **position is for an individual who is a driven safety expert with experience in safety administration and hands-on safety practices. The safety Coordinator will have the responsibility of monitoring and coordinating all safety activities within our organization and ensuring that all regulations and standards are complied with. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Create and update Job Hazard Analysis reports for all positions.
- Assist with Daily Job Hazard Analysis.
- Review all Field Level Hazard Assessments.
- Teaching workers, Supervisors, managers about health and safety standards
- Host safety meetings, evacuation drills, monthly inspections, first aid inventory and organization, and participation in the Joint Occupational Health & Safety committee.
- Facilitate safety orientations and training for new hires.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Submit the required daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Coordinate with external agencies and contractors on safety related matters.
- Keep up to date with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate, Diploma or professional designation in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety coordination or a related field.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Minimum Level 2 First Aid.
- Experience with BBCSA and COR Recognition.
- Strong knowledge of CCOHS regulations, and WorksafeBC.
- Proficient MS Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the manufacturing and construction industry as asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License.

**Job Type**: Fulltime
**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00. based on a combination of skills and experience.
**Schedule**:8-hour shift - Monday - Friday, no weekends.

- Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place.
**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
